Le Interview

As you probably know, I plan on joining the Corps. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone enlisted. So, for now, my step mother -Joy- will have to do. She just enrolled in collage. She works a lot with computers, so I thought there would be more information.

  • Q: How often do you use a computer? A: 'Daily.'
  • Q: What type of software would you say you use most often? A: 'Microsoft 2010.'
  • Q: Are there any special programs needed to do the job? A: 'Nothing special. I had to create an Apple account for my music teacher, and download Adobe Flash player.'
  • Q: Did you receive training to ensure that you knew how to use said software? A: 'Online tutorials are always an option. Everything I needed is basic, in my mind. I watched the videos my teachers linked me to, though I didn't need them.'
  • Q: Do you use a network? Is it reliable? A: 'My whole household uses Embarque. We never have to face internet mistakes. We always have signal.'
  • Q: How security-conscious are you? A: 'Very; as you should be if you want to protect your computer.'
  • Q: How would you rate your own technology? Can you type? A: 'It's doing very well, so far. We went to hhgreg, they recommended it. Yes, I can.'
  • Q: How critical is the use of technology to your success? A: 'Technology is a part of the future. Now days, rarely, will you find a successful job that doesn't involve technology. Technology is a must in order to move up in the business world.'
  • Q: If you were asked to refrain from using technology, could you do your job as effectively? A: 'Of course not. I take online classes, so I need my computer.'
  • Q: What emerging trends do you see in your field related to technology? 'I don't quite have a "field" at the moment. As far as school goes, most of the population have/are taking online classes.'
  • Q: If someone were just beginning in the field today, what advice would you share with them? A: 'Stay committed. I'm aware that using technology can be frustrating to some, but it's a permanent part of the future. You're never fully dressed without a computer.'
